equation 2.1.5

The Eyring equation shown in its logarithmic form in eq. 2.1.5a can most easily be used for analysis of the temperature dependence of rate constants after rearrangement to eq. 2.1.5b. In this latter form it is readily seen that plotting ln(k/T) vs. 1/T yields (-.delta.H**/T) as the slope together with an entropy term as the intercept.
